  • You will be asked to verify your details such as an email verification and/or phone texting verification
  • This is how you activate/register your account to be able to use the full features of ParentSquare once those features go “live.”

How We Communicate

White Deer ISD and our schools use ParentSquare for school communication primarily with email, text, and app notifications. ParentSquare automatically syncs with Ascender to generate an account for each parent, using their preferred email address and phone number. We encourage parents to access their accounts so they can download the mobile app and update their preferences on when and how they are notified.

ParentSquare is a safe, secure, and modern approach to communication and collaboration between school and home.

ParentSquare (Opens in new window) is a unified communication platform that offers a whole host of tools that allows district, school administrators, and teachers to more effectively communicate and engage with families and students.

All parents will receive basic closure/delay alerts, important information, etc. emailed to parents, and emergency notifications from the school via phone, email, text, or app notification.

But only parents who activate/register their ParentSquare account will be able to have true 2-way communication for the following examples:

  • Receive messages from the school via phone, email, text, or app notification
  • Choose to receive information as it comes...or all at once 
  • Communicate in your preferred language: ParentSquare auto-translates the message
  • Comment on school postings to engage with your school community
  • DIRECT MESSAGING with teachers, staff, and other parents
  • Participate in group messages from schools and teachers
  • Sign up for parent-teacher conferences
  • Sign up to volunteer, and more all from your desktop or mobile device 
  • And so much more!
